I have used one of my own photographs for this tutorial

No outside Filters used
I was inspired to write this tutorial after going wrong with the "Back Coluna" tutorial.
Marynez has kindly encouraged me to write this tutorial.
Program shortcuts will be given in parentheses
Needed
Paint Shop Pro - I used X2
(Tutorial will work with other versions)
Free 30 day trial from Corel,

Image
Tube or mist of choice
Width not greater than height
Presets
PSP Preset Emboss_3
(If you do not have the Preset, follow these instructions to download and install my collection of PSP presets or Emboss_3 on its own)
Performance Notes
This tutorial is in 3 parts:
- Preparation
- Pattern
- Background
The settings for different Tools and Effects will stay the same throughout the tutorial, unless
new setting instructions are given

Preparation
1) Download and save Emboss_3 to Preset Folder
(if necessary)
2) File > Open
Open image of choice
3) Window > Duplicate (Shift + D)
Close original
4) Image > Resize
Settings:
Resample using = Smart Size
Lock aspect ratio = Checked
Resize all layers = Checked
Resolution = 72.000 Pixels / Inch
Height = 375 Pixels
Width = Will self adjust
5) Adjust > Sharpness > Unsharp Mask
Settings:
Radius = 10.00, Strength = 15
Clipping = 5
Luminance only = Not checked
(or a setting of your liking)
6) Dropper Tool (E)
Left click in image to choose a Foreground color
(I chose #f2dee6)
This will be the dominant color of your background
Choose a second color with the same Hue (H) by right click in the Color square of the Materials Palette
(I chose #c57897)
My 2 colors:
7) Materials Palette
Change Background to Gradient
Settings:
Foreground-background
Angle = 45, Repeats = 3
Invert = Checked
Linear
Texture = Not checked
8) Minimize image
Pattern
9) File > New (Ctrl + N)
Settings:
Width = 200 Pixels
Height = 200 Pixels
Resolution = 72.000
Raster Background = Checked
Color depth = 16 Million Colors (24 bit)
Transparent = Checked
10) Flood Fill Tool (F)
Settings:
Match mode = None
Use all layers = Not checked
Blend mode = Normal
Opacity = 100
11) Right click to flood fill with Gradient
12) Effects > Artistic Effects > Enamel
Settings:
Blur = 36, Detail = 42
Density = 55, Angle = 242
Color = Your Foreground Color
13) Effects > Distortion Effects > Polar Coordinates
Settings:
Rectangular to polar = Checked
Transparent = Checked
14) Effects > Image Effects > Offset
Settings:
Horizontal = 44, Vertical = 52
Custom = Checked
Repeat = Checked
15) Effects > Image Effects > Seamless Tiling
Settings:
Corner = Checked
Bidirectional = Checked
Horizontal offset (%) = 0
Vertical offset (%) = 0
Transition (%) = 100
Linear = Checked
16) Layers > Duplicate
17) Image > Flip
18) Image > Mirror
19) Layers Palette
Reduce Opacity to 56
20) Layers > Merge > Merge Visible
21) Effects > User Defined Filter
Settings:
Emboss_3 (preset)
22) Effects > Image Effects > Seamless Tiling
23) Layers > New Raster Layer
24) Flood Fill Tool
Left click to flood fill new layer with your Foreground color
25) Layers Palette
Reduce opacity to 48
26) Layers > Merge > Merge All (Flatten)
This will be called Pattern for the rest of the tutorial
27) Minimize Pattern
Do NOT close
28) Materials Palette
Change Background to Pattern
Settings:
Pattern: Pattern you just created
Angle = 0, Scale = 50
Texture = Not checked
Background
29) Activate your minimized image
Image > Canvas Size
Settings:
Lock aspect ratio = Not checked
Width = 2000 (or width of choice)
Height = 400
Placement = Left Middle Arrow
Left = 10
30) Layers > New Raster Layer
31) Layers > Arrange > Send to Bottom
32) Flood Fill Tool
Right click to flood fill with Pattern
33) Layers > New Raster Layer
34) Materials Palette
Change Background to Color
Settings:
Color: #ffffff (white)
Texture = Not checked
35) Flood Fill Tool
Right click to flood fill new layer with Background Color (white)
36) Layers Palette
Reduce Opacity to 52
(or a setting of your liking)
37) Layers Palette
Activate top layer (image)
38) (Optional)
Image > Resize
Settings:
Resize all layers = Not checked
Resize image if required
39) (Optional)
Move Tool (M)
Move image into place if required
40) (Optional)
Effects > 3D Effects > Inner Bevel
Settings:
Bevel #2, Width = 15
Smoothness = 7, Depth = 5
Ambience = 7, Shininess = 12
Color = White, Angle = 315
Intensity = 32, Elevation = 50
41) (Optional)
Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow
Settings:
Horizontal & Vertical = 3
Opacity = 40, Blur = 4.50
Color = Black
Shadow on new layer = Not checked
(or a setting of your liking)
If you have used a mist, you might prefer not to use a Drop Shadow
42) (Optional)
Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow
Settings:
Horizontal & Vertical = - 1 (Minus)
Opacity = 30, Blur = 4.50
(or a setting of your liking)
43) Layers > New Raster Layer
44) Add Watermark(s)
45) File > Export > JPEG Optimizer
Settings:
Set Compression value to = 20
Chroma subsampling = YCbCr 1x1 1x1 1x1 (None)
Save Exif data = Not checked
You are done!
Now you can assemble the stationery in LC or OE/Windows Mail or Wikmail.
