Fingerprinted Frame and Background Tutorial

Performance Notes
The settings for different Tools will stay the same throughout
the tutorial, unless new setting instructions are given
Don't forget to save your work often
Frame
1) Open graphic of choice in PSP
2) Window > Duplicate (Shift + D)
Close original
3) Image > Resize
Lock aspect ratio = Checked
Resolution = 72.000
Resample using = Bicubic
Width = No greater than 400 pixels
Height = Will adjust itself
Resize all layers = Checked
4) Adjust > Sharpness > Sharpen
(if necessary)
5) Window > Duplicate
Minimize one image
6) Materials Palette
Click on Foreground Color, click Pattern Tab and find Goldpattern of choice
Angle = 0, Scale = 100
Texture = NOT checked
7) Edit > Copy
8) Image > Add Borders
Symmetric = Checked
Size in pixels = 1
Color = Black
9) Selections > Select All
10) Selections > Modify > Contract
Number of pixels = 1
11) Effects > 3D Effects > Cutout
Horizontal & Vertical = 3
Opacity = 50, Blur = 5.00
Shadow Color = Black
Fill interior with color = Not checked
12) Effects > 3D Effects > Cutout
Horizontal & Vertical = -3 (Minus)
13) Image > Add Borders
Size in pixels = 2
Color = Any color not in image
14) Magic Wand Tool
Mode = Replace, Match mode = RGB Value
Tolerance = 0, Sample Merged = Checked
Contiguous = Checked
Feather = 0
Anti-alias = Checked
Outside
15) Select your new border
16) Flood Fill Tool (F)
Match mode = None
Sample merged = Checked
Blend mode = Normal
Opacity = 100 %
17) Flood fill selected border with Goldpattern
