Paint Shop Pro 9

Xero Filter, Artworx (Set 4), available

Graphic
Tube of choice * / **
PSP Preset
PSP preset "Emboss_3"
*You could also use a graphic instead and apply a mask

Let's Start
1) Open tube of choice
2) Window > Duplicate (Shift + D)
Close original
3) Dropper Tool (E)
choose a light color as Foreground color
4) Image > Resize
First set Resolution to 72.000
Width no greater than 380 pixels
Height no greater than 380 pixels
Lock aspect ratio = checked
Resize all layers = checked
Write down new height
5) Adjust > Sharpness > Sharpen (if necessary)
6) Window > Duplicate (Shift + D)
Minimize one copy
7) Image > Resize
Lock Aspect Ratio = NOT checked
Width = 1024
Height = new height + 40 pixels
8) Layers > New Raster Layer
9) Flood Fill Tool (F)
Match mode = none
Sample merged = unchecked
Blend mode = normal
Opacity = 100
10) Flood fill new layer with Foreground Color
11) Layers > Arrange > Move Down
12) Layers > Merge > Merge Visible
13) Effects > Image Effects > Seamless Tiling > Default Setting
14) Adjust > Blur > Gaussian Blur
Radius = 47.00
15) Layers > New Raster Layer
16) Flood Fill Tool (F)
17) Flood fill new layer with Foreground Color
18) Layers Palette;
Turn opacity of top layer down to 38
19) Layers > Merge > Merge visible
20) Effects > Plugins > Xero > Artworx
Brush = Diamonds
Stroke = 20, Density = 30
Cohesion = 10, Angle = 370
Twirl = 10, Jiggle = 4
Spikes = 4, Variance = 1
Preserve details = 0
Overall strength = 255
21) Effects > User Defined Filter
Emboss_3 (preset)
22) Layers > New Raster Layer
23) Flood Fill Tool (F)
24) Flood fill new layer with Foreground Color
25) Layers Palette;
Turn opacity of top layer down to 44
26) Layers > Merge > Merge Visible
27) Effects > Image Effects > Seamless Tiling > Default Setting
28) Minimize this tile
29) Maximize the other copy of the tube
30) Edit > Copy;
Minimize tube again
31) Maximize tile
32) Edit > Paste > Paste as New Layer
33) Move Tool (M);
Move tube to the left of your tile
34) Effects > 3D Effect > Inner Bevel
Bevel #2
Width = 20, Smoothness = 10
Depth = 6, Ambience = 3
Shininess = 10, Angle = 315
Intensity = 32, Elevation = 50
Color = White
35) Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow
Vertical & Horizontal = 3
Opacity = 50, Blur = 7.00
Color = Black
Shadow on new layer = not checked
36) Layers > New Raster Layer
37) Add Watermark:
If you have a watermark tube, see Step #37a)
If not, follow Step #37b)
37a) Place your tube and continue with Step #39
37b) Text Tool (T)
Create as Vector; write your watermark (I like to use the font
Chinacat at size 8 – 10, Stroke Width 0.0, Font Style Bold
38) Layers > Convert to Raster Layer
39) Move tool (M);
Move text to where you want it
40) If necessary, reduce opacity of watermark layer
41) File > Export > JPEG Optimizer
Compression 25
Letter Creator
42) Open Letter Creator
43) Body > Image > look for the JPEG file
Click on "Tile"
Choose Font and Font Size
Choose Text Color
Choose Link Color
Margins:
Top 10, Left 10 - 20 to the right of your tube, Right 10
44) Footer
Your Name
Reference and link to the image you used
Name of tutorial ”Frosted Flower" and link to this page
Date you created this stat
45) Finish
Choose Letter Name and Collection Name
Save Project
Add to Incredimail
