This tutorial is my own creation, any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidental
Needed
Paint Shop Pro - I used 9
Free 30 day PSP trial from Corel, available

Letter Creator from Incredimail (optional), available

Graphic of choice, width greater than height
Pattern
Gold Pattern Arguld10, available

(or a Pattern of your choice)
This will be known as "Gold Pattern" for the rest of the tutorial
Performance Notes
This tutorial is in 4 parts:
- Preparation
- Pattern "Tapestry"
- Frame
- Background
The settings for different Tools and Effects will stay the same throughout the tutorial, unless new setting instructions are given
Don't forget to save your work often
Preparation
1) Download the Gold Pattern and place into your Pattern Folder
2) File > Open
Open Graphic of choice
3) Window > Duplicate (Shift + D)
Close original
4) Image > Resize
Resample using = Bicubic
Lock aspect ratio = Checked
Resize all layers = Checked
Resolution = 72.000
Width = No greater than 414 pixels
Height = No greater than 354 pixels
5) Adjust > Sharpness > Unsharp Mask
Radius = 2.00, Strength = 10
Clipping = 5
Luminance only = Not checked
6) Dropper Tool (E)
Left click in graphic to choose a medium-dark to dark color as Foreground Color
This color will dominate your frame end result
7) Window > Duplicate twice
Minimize two copies of the Graphic
Pattern "Tapestry"
8) Image > Resize
Width = 300 pixels
Height = Will self adjust
9) Effects > Image Effects > Seamless Tiling
Default Setting
10) Effects > Distortion Effects > Twirl
Degrees = 533
11) Effects > Reflection Effects > Kaleidoscope
Horizontal Offset (%) = 34
Vertical Offset (%) = 68
Rotation Angle = 264
Scale factor = -26 (Minus)
Number of petals = 3
Number of orbits = 1
Radial suction = 90
Edge mode = Wrap
12) Effects > Edge Effects > Enhance
13) Layers > New Raster Layer
14) Flood Fill Tool (F)
Match mode = None
Sample merged = Not checked
Blend mode = Normal
Opacity = 100
15) Left click to Flood fill new Layer with Foreground Color
16) Layers > Duplicate
17) Layers > Duplicate
18) Layers Palette
Raster 1 (Flood filled Layer)
Change Blend mode to Hard Light
19) Layers Palette
Copy of Raster 1
Change Blend mode to Soft Light
20) Layers Palette
Copy (2) of Raster 1
Keep Blend mode at normal, BUT change opacity to 36
21) Layers > Merge > Merge Visible
22) Effects > Image Effects > Seamless Tiling
