I used the awesome artwork of EvArtPrint.
I bought it from Creative Fabrica.
I have a subscription, pay monthly and can download what and as much as I want.
The image is from the album "Reptile Watercolor Clipart".
Skill Level: Advanced Beginners
No outside Filters/Plugins used
This tutorial is my own creation; any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidental
Program shortcuts will be given in parentheses

Paint Shop Pro - I used X2
(Tutorial will work with other versions)

This tutorial is in 2 parts:

The settings for different Tools and Effects will stay the same throughout the tutorial, unless new setting instructions are given

Preparation
1) Download LB_texture48 and place into your Texture Folder
2) File > Open
Open image of choice
3) Window > Duplicate (Shift + D)
Close original
4) Dropper Tool (E)
Left click to choose a light/medium Foreground color
(I chose #ccda68)
Right click to choose a dark Background color
(I chose #446d35)
5) Edit > Copy
Minimize
6) Materials Palette
Change Foreground to Gradient
Settings:
Foreground-background
Angle = 90
Repeat = 10
Invert = Not checked
Style = Linear
Texture = Not Checked
Tag
7) File > New
Settings:
Width = 600 Pixels
Height = 250 Pixels
Resolution = 72.000 Pixels/inch
Raster Background = Checked
Color depth = RGB / 8 bits channel
Transparent = Checked
8) Flood Fill Tool (F)
Settings:
Match mode = None
Use all layers = Not checked
Blend mode = Normal
Opacity = 100
9) Left click to flood fill with Gradient
10) Effects > Reflection Effects > Pattern
Settings:
Horizontal offset (%) = 65
Vertical offset (%) = -2 (minus)
Rotation angle = 87
Scale factor = 44
Number of columns = 7
Number of rows = 7
Horizontal shift = -46 (minus)
Vertical shift = -52 (minus)
11) Layers > Duplicate
12) Effects > Reflection Effects > Feedback
Settings:
Opacity = 52
Intensity = 97
Horizontal offset (%) = 0
Vertical offset (%) = 78
Elliptical = Checked
13) Layers Palette
Change Blend mode to "Multiply"
14) Layers Palette
Activate bottom layer
15) Effects > Texture Effects > Texture
Settings:
Texture = LB_texture48
Size (%) = 80
Smoothness = 0, Depth = 1
Ambience = 0, Shininess = 0
Color = White, Angle = 315
Intensity = 50, Elevation = 30
16) Activate top layer
Edit > Paste As New Layer (your tube)
17) Image > Resize (Shift + S)
Settings:
Width = 80 %
Height = 80
Lock aspect ratio = Checked
Resize all layers = Not checked
ok
18) Edit > Repeat Resize
Repeat until you have the tube showing to your liking.
Depending on the tube you work with, you might choose to resize in 50% steps to start with
19) Adjust > Sharpness > Unsharp Mask
Settings:
Radius = 1.00, Strength = 47
Clipping = 5
Luminance only = Checked
(Or a setting of your liking)
20) Move Tool (M)
Move tube to position of your liking
21) Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow
Settings:
Horizontal & Vertical = 3
Opacity = 80, Blur = 15.00
Color = Black
Shadow on new layer = Not checked
(Or a setting of your liking)
22) Layers > New Raster Layer
23) Selections > Select All
24) Flood Fill Tool
Right click to flood fill new layer with color of choice
I used black
25) Selections > Modify > Contract
Settings:
Number of Pixels = 2
26) Edit > Clear
27) Selections > Select None
28) Layers > Duplicate
29) Layers Palette
Select bottom frame layer
30) Adjust > Blur > Gaussian Blur
Settings:
Radius = 5.00
31) Activate Top Layer
Layers > New Raster Layer
32) Add your artist's copyrights
33) Materials Palette
Change Foreground back to Color
Toggle colors
34) Text Tool (T)
Settings:
Font = Hello Valentica (or Font of choice)
Size = 56 Points (or what suits your Font and Text)
Font Style = What suits your Font and Text
Alignment = Center
Direction = Horizontal and Down
Anti-alias = Sharp
Stroke width = 1.2
Create as Vector
Auto kern = Checked
Kerning = 0 (or what suits your Font and Text)
35) Type Text of choice and click on Apply
36) Layers > Convert to Raster Layer
37) Move Tool
Move text to place of choice
38) Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow
Settings:
Horizontal = 1
Vertical = 2
Opacity = 70, Blur = 3.00
Color = Foreground (light) color
(Or a setting of your liking)
39) Adjust > Sharpness > Unsharp Mask
40) File > Export > JPEG Optimizer
Settings:
Set Compression value to = 10
Chroma subsampling = YCbCr 2x2 1x1 1x1
Save Exif data = Not checked
